今週の女子聖 （バックナンバー）

新本館の１階には、以前構内にあった宣教師館の内装等を移設したメモリアルラウンジが設置されています。そしてその向かいには、英語文化に気軽にふれられるようにという趣旨で設けられた、イングリッシュラウンジが並んでいます。 　今回の「今週の女子聖」では、このイングリッシュラウンジについてブランク先生に紹介していただきます。

　　　　　Welcome to the English Lounge at Joshi Seigakuin where students can come and enjoy various kinds of interaction with English as the medium.


　　　　　Interaction with native teachers is probably the most important feature of the English Lounge. Native teachers are present to talk with and assist students almost every day during lunch and after school. Many students just drop in to chat, but some come to get help with homework or practice for the Eiken exams and interviews.

Students enjoy reading magazines from America including at Girl’s Life, People, Disney Adventures, and American Girl. These magazines feature the latest trends in American culture, celebrities and products. It’s a fun way for the girls to broaden their horizons and keep up with the latest goings on overseas.

　　　　　We have a wide range of books from very easy to quite difficult reading levels. Beginner students might enjoy listening the CD of Dr. Seuss’ “Green Eggs and Ham” while following along in the book. More advanced students could try Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
